This heatwave is not impacting our productivity here at Exaireo Furniture Project. The fans are out and we are having a few extra coffee breaks but we are busy working away on some lovely items. The great thing about this weather is that the paint dries quicker!
We have had a busy few weeks of sales and funnily enough, seem to have been selling lots of sofas. We're not sure why but perhaps people have had a spring clear out and decided to treat themselves to something new. We are not complaining! However, as a result, we have some space and so are currently able to take more donations. Do get in touch if there is something you would like to donate, check out the donations page on this website for more info.
We list most of items for sale on Gumtree but always try to keep our Facebook page updated with current stock. Not everything makes it on there though, so if there's something in particular you are looking for but can't see it online, do give us a call and we will see if we can help.
If you didn't already know, we also deal with referrals from Charnwood Borough Council for people in need of furniture but don't have the resources to be able to purchase them. We are proud that we are able to help local people and families at a difficult time in their lives and we see first hand the impact it makes.
So, if you haven't already done so, do pay us a visit. Come for a browse, or even just a chat to find out more about us, you might even get a cuppa!
So, the Exaireo Furniture Project has landed. It has been a long time coming but we are so glad it is finally here! Our first few weeks have whizzed by in a blur of sawdust and paint and we are now able to take a step back and breathe.
But don't worry, we aren't stopping now. Far from it, in fact, this is only the beginning. Our lovely little unit (No.4 Oaks Industrial Estate in Loughborough if you don't know by now - more info on our contact page) is now shipshape and we are listing lots of our fantastic items on Gumtree and Facebook. We have a great team currently on placement with us, they have been working extremely hard upcycling, restoring and putting the 'chic' into shabby. It is great to see people learning valuable new skills and getting that sense of achievement from turning something old and worn into a beautiful new creation.
So what is next? Well, we are very much hoping that our Ebay shop will be up and running in the next few weeks, This will enable us to showcase our items to a larger audience and hopefully our little project will grow. Anyway, it's time for a much needed rest so bye for now but do come and see us soon!
